RépondreSupprimeri just bought a at2020 mic and i'm using this program. i have a problem when rocording... how do you do to make you hear yourself when you are recording like garageband???? please help me:) thanks
RépondreSupprimeri accidently turn of the volume on my audacity how do i turn it back on. i have audio on everything else except on audacity!!!
RépondreSupprimerHELP!! when i record it pauses by it self i dont know whyyy
RépondreSupprimerStrange. That sounds like an error in the software. You may want to try reinstalling Audacity. You could also try recording with another mic to see if that may be the sources of the problem - I doubt it.
RépondreSupprimerLet me know?

When Im recording, the track that your recording has a blue wave in it, which is the volume level, and a black vertical line that moves forwards as I record. However, the blue volume wave quickly disappears when I continue to record.
RépondreSupprimerNot sure what that could be. Can you provide more specifics?
RépondreSupprimerA
I am using my foxtrot headseat to record. When I do record though, the blue wave that follows the black line that moves quickly disappears. Anyone have ay suggestions?
RépondreSupprimerUnder preferences check your audio inputs. Something is messed up there. It will be trial and error to fix that. Play with the settings until you figure it out.
RépondreSupprimerA
I don't follow. Could you explain the problem a little more?
RépondreSupprimerA
I have the same problem. That very same error message pops into my sceen as soon as I select record. I went to my control panel and clicked sound and I get the green bars showing it's working but for some unknown reason it doesn't seem to let me record anything. Help?
RépondreSupprimerit will only record voice when i talk how do i fix that
RépondreSupprimerThanks for the question. In your Audacity preferences click on the RECORDING tab make sure there is a check beside "Play other tracks when recording a new one." Let me know if that helps?

Every system is different. So, they may have to be a trial and error fix for you. Try playing with the different audio settings and let me know how you make out?
RépondreSupprimerA
"Error while opening soudn device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate." Uhm, okay.. how do i remove that... ? i already have the correct device selected (as far as i know..)
RépondreSupprimerokay well my audacity is messed, if i upload audio ( a beat ) and then i press record, the uploaded audio doesnt play/make noise (the green bars) and i need it to do that so i can hear the beat, and my voice at the same time so i can stay on beat, it use to work but i must have done something! help i need to record my new rap! and my record button is way on the right side when the skip to end button is suspose to be, plz help!! reply plz
RépondreSupprimerthr thing where the drop down box is, nothing is showing up there and when i try to record i cant even see the waves or anything. just a straight line, what shoud i do? please help
RépondreSupprimerThanks for the question. I have a number of different mics I use for different things. For most of my tutorials I use a wide diaphragm condensor mic. I have a couple of brands of those. For things where I am outside I sometimes use a Senheizer shotgun mic. And for quick and dirty podcasts I use the mics on the different cameras I use.
RépondreSupprimerHope this helps.

What mic do you use?
RépondreSupprimerThanks for the question. Yes you can add sound from Audacity into Movie Maker. In Audacity you need to go FILE - EXPORT and choose MP3 or WAV as your file type. You can then import that new file into Movie Maker.
RépondreSupprimerNOTE: Movie Maker will not import .AUP (Audacity Project) files.

RépondreSupprimer[Continued]
RépondreSupprimer* You often hear parts double-tracked on recordings, especially vocals but also rhythm guitar or others. You can get a more natural effect by recording the same part twice (but timing becomes VERY important) or a tighter effect by using a short delay, possibly combined with a tiny pitch-shift.
* Play with delay and reverb, but don't go wild unless that's the sound you're after.
* Try layering instrument parts, e.g. two rhythm guitar parts with different chord voicings.
I don't think Audacity is advanced enough to compete with commercial recording software, but a few things that can help are:
RépondreSupprimer* Keep noise on recorded sound to an absolute minimum, and investigate Audacity's noise removal feature if needed.
* Ensure instruments really are tune. Consider fixing tuning slips in vocals using the Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift tool if needed.
* Be prepared to ditch any take that has even a minor noticeable error (quiet note, timing problem, etc.)

RépondreSupprimerhelp??
Yeah voiceover1... What's the deal?
RépondreSupprimerIs there any freeware program that enables you to split the voice from the music? Please tell me, thx!
RépondreSupprimerChange the settings in control panel, if the microphone goes into the pink output it has to be set to use that output so go to control panel then sounds, then audio output, it will be set to something you have to change it so its set to whatever your recording from.
RépondreSupprimeris there a way to use this to split music wrom voice?? or any other program?
