  1. Whenever I record a second track or more it makes the 1st track louder and you can barely hear the other track and then it also gets fuzzier in the pitch everytime I add a track.

  2. why is it when i am recording (lead and rythm) left and (bass) right channels. when i start recording drums to be on the right with the bass, and try to save the file export to mp3, it completely removes the bass and puts in the drums. how can i keep both and have both bass and drums exported on the same channel without getting removed?

Can you hear what you play as you record? Are you using a speaker-type of microphone and play in front of your comp. or is there an input?

  8. Yeah, you can hear the tracks that you are playing over. I was playing into a cheapo computer mic and using headphones.

  12. To my knowledge there is no free recording software that supports this. With regular USB you can record two mics at once, but for more mics I would suggest getting firewire support if your computer doesn't already have that. I personally use Propellerhead's Record in combination with Gearbox from Line 6 to record the input of my Line 6 Toneport. All you have to do in my case is select "mic 1 & 2" from the source list in Gearbox and set up the tracks.

Actually, multitracking is the art of recording multiple tracks SEPERATELY. Not at the same time, you PLAY all of the tracks together at the same time, but not record.

If you do, please post youtube links like watch?v=..... Thanks a lot.

  31. If I found that my recording was a bit quiet when I tried to listen to it, would the best way to make it louder is just amplify the entire thing? Also I am using this to record instruments so if I were to add dynamics to the song would it be best to just try to make the entire song the same volume then adjust amplification on some of the parts to achieve the dynamics?
