    Docs etc will very soon be fully offline functional (apart from realtime collaboration of course). Watching videos saved onto the Chromebook and photo editing have worked offline for a long time. Other apps and games like Angrybirds work offline too.

    Thumbs up if you're watching this on a Chromebook :) Honestly they're great, and yes it doesn't run photoshop, but cloud apps are becomming more and more powerful to the extent that offline programs will become obsolete, its just a matter of time and Google understand this.

    But still I can do more things with a laptop. If it was in my house, and someone stole it, that would be the less of my problems... anyway, The Chromebook is just a fancy gadget.

    Si solo necesitas un cambio menor sí... pero si usas photoshop no es para cambios menores..... alguna vez usaste algo online para modificar fotos de manera avanzada?

    Jajaja, como si el editor en linea fuese tan potente como Photoshop... Imaginate que una gran imagen debería subirse a La nube de google... eso no te da seguridad que la foto sea tuya o que a google se la roben o que tu cuenta de google desaparezca con todos tus archivos... hace mucho y no tanto... de google desaparecieron más de 100.000 cuentas, para google no es ni el 1%, pero 100.000 personas perdieron todo... Y si uno de esos fueses tú?

    No si trabajas de forma profesional. No he encontrado ningun editor de imagenes en la nube que haga un trabajo profesional como lo hace Photoshop. Es como comparar la Suite Office de Microsoft con el iWork de Apple o con Drive...

    The Crome thing would be free, but also with a laptop you would be able to do stuff "out of google world". Imagine if someone hack into your Google Account....

    Also, make sure you're on Wifi and your network allows automatic updates. Some school networks block it for some reason.

    So, what new UI are you talking about? The one shown here, Aura? That hasn't hit the Stable channel yet. None of the computers that are on the normal Stable channel have it. If you want it, switch to beta in About Chrome OS in the wrench menu.
